Who am I & why I started blogging

Hi everyone! In today’s blog, I will introduce myself and tell you why I started blogging.

Who am I

I am Tine, I live in Belgium, and I am 21 years old. I went to university college for three years and studied communications, I just graduated. I decided to study some more. I’m going to an art university next year to get a masters degree in interaction design. I live with my dad and my two cats who I call my brother and sister. I am an only child. It has many benefits but also some disadvantages like I don’t have a sister to who I can tell everything. As I’m getting older I really wished I had a sister. Luckily I have an amazing boyfriend to who I can tell everything and he supports me in everything that I do.

Work & Hobby

I have a student job at a local movie theatre. I work almost every weekend but also during holidays. In my opinion earning money is very important as a college student. Life is expensive, and I don’t think my parents should pay everything for me if I want something I’m old enough to work for it and get it myself.

I have many hobbies. I used to play the piano, and I still love to do it, but I guess I just don’t have the time for it. Maybe I should consider starting my piano lessons again. I also love to dance; I follow dance classes three times a week during school. Unfortunately, during holidays the dance school closes. I started running and swimming during the holidays because sports is just essential in my life. I also go to the gym sometimes. Besides sports I also love photography. I shoot events and family parties, I do this most of the time with my boyfriend. I also really like to make video’s, but I still need to learn a lot before I make my videos public.

Start to blog

Why did I start blogging? Honestly, I don’t know I just wanted to do it for a very long time and never had the guts to do it because of what people would think. I’m still scared of the reactions, but I have nothing to lose! I got inspired by Aspyn Ovard and her being a blogger and YouTuber. I follow her for ages now, and she inspires me all the time. She does what she loves and does what she wants even when she’s not good at it like making a unicorn cake. She still does it without thinking about people judging her, and I thinks that’s amazing.

The feeling of starting a blog grew during my college years because we had to write for the school blog. This made me want to start my blog and to be able to write about anything that I love. So after a year of hesitating, I just started Spark of July in July 2017.

So that’s my story about why I started a blog and how Aspyn played a role in this new adventure. So thanks Aspyn Ovard and thank you to whoever reads my blog and wants to support me with it.
